My name is Danielle Welty. I am 17 and currently a senior at Bethany Christian. Other classmates would consider me as a “typical white girl.” I am strangely attached to my starbucks and smart phone. My cat, Mow Mow, is bae (white girl slang for before anyone else).
My current days consist of sitting in the classroom looking like an innocent student while actually thinking about how dreamy Harry Styles is. The music I listen to is very important to me and the hottie-filled boyband, One Direction, is my favorite. The other half of my days are spent living the fangirl life including: dreaming of marrying the boys, decorating my room with posters, and most importantly dancing and singing to their music all night long. I try my best to keep my One Direction life separate from my school work, though the fangirl life is a 24 hour job.
Even though I tend to drift from class into 1D fantasies, my school work is extremely important to me. Since it’s my senior year it is essential for my grades to stay up in order to get into my choice of college. My plans for the future are jumbled and uncertain, similar to the rest of my life. Although I know I want to study architecture and interior design in college, I am not certain on which university I plan to attend. Hopefully the phase of popular dreamy boybands will stray clear of my mind while I complete my college journey. I’ve been a girl who has always looked forward to my college future, not only because of the many cute boys roaming campus but rather for having a taste of living freely.
My parents mean the world to me even when they do what parents are supposed to do and set expectations for me to follow. I would say I am a big family person except for the fact that my family is terribly small. I am the youngest of two other sisters who I have recently decided are not, “evil monsters who are out to get me!” In a general sense I have gotten a lot of my “white girl” qualities from them which I am thankful for. All in all my life is pretty basic revolving around family, One Direction, and most importantly my cat.
