Hi, I’m Landon Weldy. I’ve lived in Goshen most of my life, but I’m actually half-Nebraskan, born and raised. Literally, my mother had me in a cornfield. No, I was actually born in the Goshen Hospital, but nonetheless, I do enjoy corn. My parents, Alan and Carla, both work for IU Health Goshen. I have two sisters (both are Bethany grads), Marissa and Malaina. Marissa, my oldest sister, lives in Tampa, where she works as a nurse. Malaina is a Business major in her third year at Goshen College. I have a dog named Beckham (yes, after the David Beckham), a golden/lab mix. I really like food (I mean who doesn’t), especially meat. I eat about four meals a day, and  I’ll eat most anything that doesn’t include mushrooms.
I’m a guy of many interests, such as playing tennis, reading, and playing video games. I also love movies. A lot. If you were to look at the bookshelf in my room there’s a good chance that I have somewhere around 100 or more movies on the shelf, and quite a few books. I probably spend way too much money on movies, but I have excellent taste so you can think what you want. If you want to argue with me about movies, you should probably just stop there. There’s about a 99% chance that I know more than you.
In college next year I likely will major in business. Film interests me as well. I love the feeling of creating, whether it’s a movie or a book, and I hope I can somehow carry that over into the real world. I am in the process of choosing between Goshen College and EMU.
As a kid, I went to Wakarusa Elementary School. I still keep in contact with many of my close Northwood friends. I have attended Yellow Creek Mennonite Church since I was 4, and was baptized this year at the end of August. It’s finally Senior Year, and although this may sound cliche, it’s gonna be a great one.
