Credit to all penguin drawings go to Carissa Hostetler (‘17). Almost everyday during lunch she ventures down to the middle school to visit Evie Nafziger (7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher), to leave a penguin for Evie’s afternoon classes. Carissa has become quite famous with the Lower School kids, especially those that have Mrs. Nafziger in the afternoon. If she forgets a penguin or doesn’t have time to draw one the Lower School kids become slightly upset and have to know why there was no penguin. She enjoys drawing penguins but has been running out of ideas and have been becoming fewer and far between.
