Nina Fox is this year’s new Spanish teacher. Here are 10 facts about Nina you probably didn’t know:
- Nina initially envisioned herself working in a public school setting, but felt called to come work at Bethany.
- She sleeps with a stuffed penguin named Oscar every night.
- She has traveled on a 110-hour bus ride from Ecuador to Bolivia. (This was over a 10 day period)
- The stuffed penguin habit didn’t begin until she went off to college.
- Nina loves White Collar and New Girl, but thinks Pretty Little Liars isn’t the smartest show.
- The most used app on her iPhone is the weather app.
- Her favorite movie is The Guardian.
- If she had to pick anyone to play her in a movie it would be Zooey Deschanel.
- The best dessert she’s ever had was at camp. It was called the green dragon.
- When asked what fandoms she was a part of she responded with “what is a fandom?”
Nina says she’s had a smooth transition from the college program that she followed to becoming a full-time teacher. She felt the program has really prepared her and she knows there are many people she can count on for support. There are many hours she has put in and sees it paying off in the affirming relationships she is building with her students. Welcome to Bethany Nina!
