“Or do you not know that your body’s a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Last week the high school students took a ride down to Fidler’s Pond here in Goshen. The focus of this community trip was to be good stewards of our bodies. Everyone walked or ran laps around the pond. Students thought it was fun to walk and talk with friends.
Senior, Luke Hanna, said that “although it was a fun time I really wanted to go swimming.” Others like Sophomore, Sydney Bradford, thought that the only downside was the heat causing her to sweat a bit more than she wanted to.
Overall, students enjoyed being able to socialize with friends and get out of school for most of the afternoon. Students and faculty walked/ran a total of 672 miles in a little over an hour with classes, averaging between four and a half and five miles per student.
