Senior Trip
This year’s senior trip was one to be remembered. The class of 2016 chose to spend a week in Chicago doing multiple activities. Class sponsors, Renae Yoder, and Calvin Swartzentruber lead the class of 33 around Chicago along with Jim Buller. The week was filled with interactive activities and plenty of time to rest. One of the highlights of the trip was all the food! The class explored food from places like Peru, India, Taiwan, China, and of course America.
The Class started the week off right with a pizza tour to a few pizzerias. By the end of the tour, people were finding it hard to finish the larger than average slices of pizza. Later that day we were given free time to go shopping or hang out with each other or simply take a nap. In the evening we were privileged enough to watch a Chicago Blackhawks hockey game. Even though most of us knew nothing about hockey, we had fun.
The rest of the week consisted of more food, Whirlyball which is a mix between basketball and bumper cars, plenty of walking, watching Lion King the Musical, and Ice Skating in beautiful weather. Throughout the week students bonded and were able to get to know each other on different levels than just classmates. We grew as a family with late games in hotel rooms and long walks and rides on the subway. The Senior trip of 2016 was a fantastic trip and one never to be forgotten.
