This past weekend was Super Bowl 50. The Broncos and Panthers went head to head for NFL’s highest championship title. Super Bowl Sunday in America entails many traditions. These traditions include the halftime show, parties with friends and family, wings, chip and dips and, of course, the commercials. Here is a list of the top five commercials, in no particular order, as told by the BCHS student body
“Mtn Dew Kickstart: Puppymonkeybaby”
This commercial was described as “so disturbing you can’t look away.” A surprising guest makes a visit to three friends in a stay-at-home evening. Seeing this “Puppymonkeybaby” as a spokesman might take some time to get used to.
Doritos Ultrasound
“Crossed all the lines,” says Tyler Huffman (‘16) This controversial video was a surprising favorite among the students. Doritos are so irresistible that even a baby still in the womb is willing to chase it down.
“T-Mobile: Drop The Balls”
The 2015 Miss Universe Pageant ends with arguably, the biggest TV fail of the year. Steve Harvey is a good sport after he mistakenly crowning Miss Colombia as Miss Universe in this hilarious T-Mobile commercial.
“Toyota Prius: The Longest Chase”
“Cool Prius,” said Nobody Ever. That is until this commercial. Although the situation isn’t ideal, a pair of bank robbers show off the it’s innovative safety technology. The performance turns any drive into an event worth sharing with the entire world.
“All-New Honda Ridgeline 2016”
Singing sheep are always entertaining. These sheep really nailed their rendition of “Somebody To Love” by Queen. Will we see them in the next talent reality show?
