Fitness at Fidler: The People’s Opinion

We were assigned to interview people on the trail during fitness at Fidler. We interviewed multiple students from different grades who all had unique views and responses. These are a few of their responses.

When asked about who she runs with Tinsley Yoder said “Me and Risa were running along together and she was pushing me the whole time. It’s nice to have a break from school.”

Tristan Moore thinks that “the classes seem more unified and a bit closer, I see kids that are talking to each other that are in completely different grades.” He also says he would rather be at Fidler than school.

Alex Cartwright believes that Fitness at Fidler is a positive experience and says, “I would like to see us getting outside more often.” Alex enjoys the different atmosphere and spending time with friends. He thinks that there are a lot of benefits from being together as a community outside of school.

Sim Yoder comments on the differences from past years by stating, “It seems to be a little less chaotic, last year there was like a huge clump that was hard to get around.” She thinks that doing it again in the spring would be “pretty cool” and enjoys being outside instead of inside with air conditioning and artificial light. While she supports Fitness at Fidler she doesn’t think it helps people get closer together, “People who run are friends with people who run and people that don’t are friends with those that don’t.”

Beck Willems enjoys Fitness at Fidler and thinks that “we should do it more than once, like once now and one in the spring.”

Joseph Gonzales doesn’t think it is necessary because he states “We already have practices and chances to run on our own.” However, Joseph did say that he is in a sport right now and wants to run for the exercise, but it is his choice.

Overall, people enjoy Fitness at Fidler but ideas have brought up about more chances to do similar activities. Either way, remember to check out our other sightline posts and have a good day. Sightline out.
