During the Christmas season, along with the cold and snow, one must think of gifts to buy for family and friends. Presents are especially important for that “special someone,” because if you don’t get them something, the whole world is gonna end!
Here lies the predicament: there are all sorts of people to buy things for, but you simply don’t know what to get them. Everybody has been there before, so use this guide to help you find the best gifts for all of the people in your life.
If your friend is outdoorsy: Find a nice, straight stick outside in your yard or at a park. Put a nice ribbon on it for the perfect gift for that friend that always seems to be outside.
If your friend is sporty: Also go outside for this one. It might take some searching, but try to find a nice, smooth rock about the size of a basketball. If you can’t find one, a volleyball size will do. This is perfect for a friend who is looking to up their game. They can use the rock as a sort of natural medicine ball, and when they return to the regulation equipment, they will be stars!
If your friend likes to stay inside and cuddle with their pets: This gift takes a bit more time, but it is certainly worth it. You want to get to know the pets of your friend, specifically their dogs and/or cats. Once you meet these beloved animals, you want to collect as much fur from them as possible (this is best if the pet naturally sheds, otherwise you might need scissors). Once you have the fur, knit them a soft, snuggly sweater with the pet hair! This makes for a thoughtful and warm gift for the holidays.
For your parents: Your parents deserve so much, since they have given so much to you. To show their love and affection back to them, you need to give them the things they need most as human beings: food, water, and shelter. So, set them up with the perfect survival pack! All you will need is a large cardboard box, a gallon jug of water, and a gift card for their favorite restaurant (maybe Denny’s!). This gives them everything that they gave you throughout the years, which makes it the perfect gift.
Finally, for your significant other: This is the most difficult gift to get. You could always go for the stereotypical gifts like chocolates and cheesy love letters, but for a true present that will leave an impact, go for something outside the box. You want to illustrate your love for them and how you never want to let them go, so candy and a windowless van work perfectly. You can “kidnap” them into your heart forever! While this gift is a bit pricey, doesn’t your loved one deserve the world?
Hopefully this guide can help you when you are stuck with nothing to buy during the holidays. Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!
