Detective Julius Hanabel’s report
The original disappearance of Jessica Greene sparked a lot of distress from local authorities and many others. Reports that came in last night, confirming what none of us wanted to hear; the annual Valentine’s day kidnappings had continued for the 3rd year in a row. The missing person was reported to have last been seen coming home from a party at 2:00 a.m on Saturday the 13th. However, in the morning her family reported that she had gone missing. This sparked an investigation that ended this morning with the conclusion that she has been kidnapped.
Philip Greene, Jessica’s brother says that he witnessed some of what happened early in the morning. “I heard when she got home; she was dropped off and came upstairs right away,” says her brother. “She went into the bathroom and turned on the water to take a shower. Then things started getting weird; the water stopped abruptly, but I didn’t hear her come out of the bathroom. When I got up and went to my door, I heard rustling in the hallway, and muffled talking, or was it screaming? I can’t remember, I was half asleep.”
Philip was starting to take more and more time to tell his story, “I peeked into the hallway and saw a figure in the bathroom door; there was something inhuman about the way it stood there, and at this point, I was wide awake. I couldn’t see in the bathroom, since all the lights were out, but I knew that somehow the figure in the doorway knew I was there. Without turning its body, its head swiveled around and it looked directly at me. Its eyes were pure red, with no pupil, they glistened like fresh blood, and I felt my whole body shiver.”
This is the first time we have had a witness to any of these kidnappings, so it was important we got the whole story. In the past it was thought that these crimes were committed by some psychopath hidden among us, wanting to enact vengeance on those people who had hurt them on past Valentine’s days. So we waited patiently for Philip to complete the story, “We looked at each other for what seemed like forever, then the thing opened its mouth and released a blood curtailing screech that froze me in place. It then started ‘talking’ to me, if you can even call it that. It just mostly hissed, but I could make out ‘Don’t tell, or you’re next.’ My brain couldn’t comprehend what was going on at the time, but I knew that I couldn’t just stand around, so I stumbled back into my room and picked up my baseball bat. When I got back to the hallway, the bathroom window was shattered, and there were no signs of my sister or the thing that had just been there a second before.”
At this point, Philip was getting very nervous and almost refused to say any more, but he eventually continued, “I slowly walked to the bathroom and nearly passed out when I saw that the bathroom was covered in blood, this shocked me back to my senses, and I ran and got my parents.”
The investigation will continue so that we can try and better understand what is happening here.
